Mokotow - a Polish organized criminal group. Its founders came mainly from petty criminals (money changers, house thieves, etc.), who became rich very quickly by organizing and specializing in new types of crimes. For a decade, the gang was the largest Polish organized crime group. The name of the gang comes from the city of Pruszków near Warsaw (west of Warsaw), from which some of the group's members came.
HISTORY
The group was established as a result of the political transformation in Poland after 1989 (the fall of the Polish People's Republic). The then Civic Militia, transformed into the Police in 1990, was unable to cope with the wave of new crime. The group started with economic crimes (smuggling of alcohol and cigarettes from abroad), then dealt with criminal offenses (truck robberies, racketeering, drug trafficking, kidnapping, contract killings). The gang also collected "license fees" from other criminal groups from all over Poland. Local bosses from around the country shared their profits with the bosses of the Mokotow gang.On July 6, 1990, the criminals from the Pruszków gang fell into a police ambush, and they reached the turnstile in the George Nadarzyna Motel. In 1996, in a high-profile media execution, Wojciech K. ps. "Sausage". In 1999, in Zakopane, Andrzej Kolikowski, pseudonym. Pershing which was an armed arm for Pruszków.
