Varrios Los Aztecas has been around since the early 1980s and is one of the gangs that just formed in Los Santos. Most of its origins and past histories are unknown. Similarly, the origins and history of their rivalry with other Los Santos gangs (especially Los Santos Vagos) are not known, but they clearly began sometime between 1980 and 1992. Their presence grew with the increase of Mexican and other Hispanic/Latino immigrants to the region and was linked to the relative deprivation of the region compared to the rest of the city.

Varrios Los Aztecas is an extremely proud Mexican/Latino street gang and controls El Corona, Little Mexico and Unity Station. They're going to be the smallest gangs in town, but they're probably going to be one of the heaviest armed gangs, and they're empowering them over other gangs. These are an anti-narcotics gang, like the Grove Street families, heavily involved in gun trafficking/arms trafficking, gangbangering, gang warfare, street violence, murder, vandalism and illegal street racing. They are easily re-reprened with turquoise bandanas and '90s "cholo" style clothing. Their preferred weapons include Pistols, Micro-SMGs, SMGs and knives. Although some Marabunta Grande members dress similarly, Aztecas does not give face tattoos, unlike its competitors.

Aztecas usually uses Tornado, Glendale and Hermes.
