1. Leader of EMS
2. why i want to be leader of EMS:
a) Professionalism and ability to form strong interpersonal relations in a professional environment.
The approachability of leadership is often times completely overlooked. I myself have experienced good and bad leadership through my time as an infantry soldier (OC). And I often find the ones who are able to form the most cohesive teams are usually those who are most approachable. Feeling that you are able to approach your leadership with confidence is key to keeping the team truthful, if your subordinates fear your retaliation they will avoid raising issues with you. however, if they believe they have the support of their leadership they will be willing to bring forth these issues much sooner, as I always say bad news doesn't get better with time. I have often times been told that my communication style make them feel comfortable talking to me about their issues, this is key to approachability.
b) Leadership Experience
Although I may lack experience in the city, I bring formal, real world leadership training. As someone who is qualified as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Australian Defense force. i have completed a structured leadership development course (subject 1 for corporal), which taught me how to effectively manage small teams, maintain accountability, and build a cohesive squad. I will use this experience to ensure that EMS remains active, organized and to ensure effective communication throughout the leadership structure.
c) I am fully committed to EMS, i have no other interest in joining other organizations, nor am i concerned with the profitability of this position, my only interest is to build a supportive team and make to EMS a place where people feel safe among their peers. The best part of EMS will always be the people that make up the organization from the bottom to the top and i will work every single day to ensure every single one of my team members feels valued and supported. from ensuring everyone is treated fairly and given a fair go at all times, to being an ear for anyone to share their concerns with. People shouldn't just feel like a member of an organization but a part of a family. a thoroughly supported team will keep EMS on top!
Advice for improving the roleplay level in the organization.
a) Unofficial events
Hosting EMS events such as promotional ceremonies and med lab competitions ensures friendly competition among colleagues and gives a feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself. An environment where competition can thrive in a healthy way is the kind of environment is the best way to encourage team work and communication, make lasting friendships along the way. Building a network of friends is a guaranteed way to make someone feel more connected to the organization and is guaranteed to improve anyone's Roleplay Experience.
b) Official events
Any time a member of the public sees an EMS employee at work it is always a good thing, from lobby duty to attending events, its all important. I would like to however put emphasis on this importance of PR events, blood donations and therapy sessions. I believe these are some of the most memorable experiences one can have in the city. These can all be unique and exciting experiences for any one, young or old. There are endless possibilities when creating PR events, and in my opinion the most unique events are best. Seeing EMS actively engaging with the public throughout the city in ways they have potentially never seen before is guaranteed to enhance the Roleplay of our very important citizens.
