Greetings, dear players of our project. In this article, we will look at the main problems with the launch of multiplayer and suggest ways to solve these problems.

ERROR: Your game version is not supported by RAGE:MP

Go to the root folder with Grand Theft Auto V and delete the file “GTA5.EXE”. Then run the file “PlayGTA5.exe”. Let the game run so it updates to the current version. After that, exit the game and start RAGE:MP again.

If these steps are not successful, try the following steps:

  1. Run a local file check, via Steam/Epic;
  2. Reinstall the game and multiplayer files completely.

Error: Clientside packages checksums mismatch! Trying again…

Go to the RAGE:MP folder. Delete the folder “client_packages”, go to the server you need and download the files of this server. Note: Deleting this folder may result in deleting the client files of all servers on the masterlist.

Error: master list is not responding

Try restarting multiplayer, if this action does not help, use a direct connection to the server. Current IPs of all servers can be found on our official website.

Error: After selecting a server, GTA5 starts with a black screen and immediately closes

In most cases, this happens because of the third-party processes which are running at the same time as the RAGE:MP launching. Try to open the “Task Manager” and forcibly disable unnecessary processes.

Error: Failed to retrieve the install directory

This happens when you have not specified the path to the root folder with the game, or specified it incorrectly. Click “OK” and specify the correct folder where Grand Theft Auto V is installed.

Error: RAGE:MP freezes on loading screen after you press to connect

This may be due to not having the current updates for GTA 5. Enter the game through single-player mode, if successful, you can immediately close the single-player game and enter multiplayer.

Error: starts a single-player game.

Try running multiplayer as administrator. If that doesn’t work, install a current version of Windows 10/11.

Error: Nothing happens after starting RAGE:MP

Use a VPN to log into the server and disable antivirus on your system. Once you have successfully logged in to the server – the VPN can be disabled.

Error: Mouse is stuck in the middle of the screen and won’t move.

Go to the single player game, go to mouse/keyboard settings and select “Input method for mouse” – Raw Input

Error: FATAL ERROR: .NET Host did not initialize correctly! Please reinstall RAGE Multiplayer and ensure its files consistency

Make sure you have an up-to-date version of Windows 10/11 installed. After that, check your local game files. Then install programs which will fix bugs. After fixing the errors, restart your computer and run the single player mode first and then RAGE:MP.

Congratulations, now you can solve the most common game errors!
