Rejected Scammed for 1 mil

Hey so this guy who worked at the government and was my colleague asked me for a favor to give him 1 mil to buy a house and he will pay me back in 10 days so I gave him the 1 mil and since then he hasn't talked to me about it I went to the government and asked they said that he's been suspended and he hasn't been in the city for a long time
