Phil Roberts is a 42-year-old Caucasian American, born and raised in the city of Los Santos. Phil grew up in Central Los Santos together with his mother and father. His family has Christian beliefs close to heart. This meant that the household had strict rules whom everyone in the family had to abide by. Phil grew up with two older brothers, Mike and Luigi who were two respectively five years older than him. Being the youngest in the family Phil often had to endure injustice and beatings coming from his older brothers as they often came to blame him for their wrongdoings to escape punishment from their mother and father, whose parenting skills consisted of shouting and beating their children into submission whenever they didn’t listen or did as they requested. This was a challenging environment for Phil during his childhood, but it nevertheless made him a stronger person early in life. It gave him the ability to admit his own faults and mistakes so that he could work on becoming a better person. Phil’s childhood experiences also made him realize how important it is to have an open mind in all situations because situations could very fast change, people that seem to be legit could be actual perpetrators, and guilty “looking” people could be just as innocent. It gave him strong insights into not judging a book based on its color.
After finishing school at the age of 18, Phil moved out of his parent’s house and moved in together with his high school sweetheart. Life on his own had its perks, he got away from his erratic and abusive family that and got to live in peace along with his girlfriend. But life had its cons as he suddenly had bills that needed to tend to, and they kept coming each month. This forced him into searching for both legal and illegal labor so that he could take care of himself and his family, his anger issues from his childhood made him tend to make a quick buck to feed and support his family as he got angry from the fact that he had no money for his family. Phil had to start cutting corners to get a higher success rate in his job, meaning he was dealing with one gang to get rid of another, making briberies to city officials to persecute dangerous mobsters and sexual predators that never got prosecuted due to a broken judicial system. Phil Roberts began to sink deeper and deeper into the mob. He covered up crimes for them and performed hits on anyone who dared oppose them. He learned from his longtime friend Stephanie Fettuccine how to bend the law and certain corrupt techniques. He took bribes and extorted business owners. Phil Roberts learned from his best friend in the mob so he was able to cover all his tracks. Phil’s loyalty and dedication earned himself a seat next to the don at the table. He was gifted a set of high tech sunglasses by his boss so that he could record muggings, killings and snitches (if he found any). This is why Phil's current sunglasses has the capacity of always recording.
Phil uses his criminal influences to help him in achieving law and order. A calm and uneventful life may be suitable for most but not for Phil. After seeing a billboard with a SAHP ad for recruitment as he drove Paleto Bay, he felt an urge. An urge to enlist, to put on the uniform. While in SAHP, he grew close to Stephanie Fettuccine. They both rose up the ranks together both making it to Chief. While rising up the ranks, Stephanie Fettuccine introduced Phil Roberts to the crime boss Paul Castellano. Phil Roberts was reinserted back into his old life of crime. After initiation, he became a full-fledged member of the Gambino crime family. Stephanie Fettuccine bought him a revolver and a bottle of wine for his celebratory gift.
Outcomes
-Has the ability to hang out with criminal organizations and partake in activities only when it is in regards to choosing the lesser evil for the greater good.
-Uses bribery and extortion as means to push down gangs in his working area.
-Uses intimidation tactics, blackmail, and corrupt activities to abuse criminal gangs into pleading guilty in example: interrogations.
-Has the ability to take on 2 enemies at once since he has been a criminal and knows how to dodge being captured. Also, his tactics from being a member of the SWAT team have helped him in countering maneuvers as he learned a lot from his weapon and physical trainings with the SWAT team.
