I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out regarding my recent ban, which occurred due to my use of the phrase "yarabbi," Meaning "Oh God." I understand the enforcement of rules against certain expressions, given my prior experience as an admin. However, I find it inconsistent that while saying "Merry Christmas" is permitted, offering greetings like "Eid Mubarak" on Eid, a significant day for Muslims, leads to bans. Both occasions are moments of celebration, yet only one seems to face repercussions.
I've noticed this enforcement disparity particularly in our server EN03, while other servers like EN01 or EN02 don't penalize similar expressions. This inconsistency is puzzling, especially considering that EN01 is the global server, and actions taken in EN03 should align with its standards. For instance, offenses like IRL trading or cheating prompt immediate bans across all servers, yet the treatment of cultural expressions differs.
My ban stemmed from accidentally using the phrase in the Organization radio, leading to a report from another player. I believe this punishment is unjust, especially considering that muting for inappropriate language could serve as a more suitable consequence. Expressions like "Salam Aljkom" are rooted in cultural tradition rather than religious imposition. Before the advent of organized religion, cultural greetings like "Salam Aljkom" meaning "Peace be upon you," existed as customary greetings.
