His father ran illegal betting rings to earn some money and his mother did multiple jobs to earn money to support the family. Jay was brought up in such an environment and, before he knew it, he was engaged in petty crime as well as the dangerous business of selling and peddling drugs. Such a life was characterized by incessant struggles for financial emancipation and status, which drove him further into criminal activities. Even as Jay went into crime, he never lost his hunger for something more. With all this, his ambition began to grow along with his desire to get out of the past he wanted. He wanted to be much more powerful. Though choices were desperate, they somehow fashioned him into a very resourceful and determined fellow ready to take control over his future and climb himself out of the shadows.
Career Story:
Jay's career began with the simple hunger for power and money that justified LSPD recruit positions as a stepping stone for high ambitions. Early on, he focused on understanding the system, identifying weaknesses he could exploit for personal gain. The badge was a mere means to the end of a burgeoning empire. Relationships with local gangs and corrupt officials had connections to Jay as he climbed the ranks. Then, he would sell intelligence, arrogance in crimes, and broker deals between the underworld syndicate and law enforcement with such connections. Bribery and extortion have powered all his magical rise from just an ordinary officer to High Command.His skill was so great that he managed to stay under the radar, earning the trust of powerful criminal figures. Jay would seize any opportunity that came within his sight, whether drug operations, weapons trafficking, or protecting a criminal for coin. Finally, his empire was a lavish sophisticated network that included even corrupt officers who were on his payroll to allow his activities to be undetected. A sudden scrutiny began to rise due to his newly found unusual wealth. His increasing influence was like a prick in the eye to Internal Affairs. But even that threat couldn't shake Jay's ambition. Planning extensively and ever being ahead in thinking has always kept him in control of his criminal empire with the onus, however precariously, that it would not be long before it came crashing down.
