One day after returning from school, Carlos found his father being harassed by corrupt cops over false accusations. That incident sparked a hunger for justice but also an awareness of how power could be abused. He came to Los Santos at 5 with dreams of becoming a lawman. The first few years were tough for him as he did multiple odd jobs just to make a living. But then he was given membership into the LSPD, where he was quickly promoted due to hard work. But soon after, he became really disappointed because of all the corruption in the system he was watching. He was watching the way power and influence could taint justice. The values he once respected only looked like an illusion to him. He didn't want to take the route his father had chosen, so he decided to take another path into the dark side in which connections take forms that are not necessarily legal. While still in law enforcement, Carlos saw first-hand how criminals operated. Secret partnerships were being forged as he went about figuring out how to run the underbelly. He then got into the knowledge on how to exploit the underworld, and not too long after that, it was all working for him. Carlos's initial motivations were replaced by greed and the race for power and money, which, therefore, took him further along the path for illegal activity under the shroud of anonymity.
Career Story:
Carlos took his first steps in the LSPD, learning the ins and outs of law enforcement. He soon gained a reputation for defensive technique and tactical approach. After three years, he transferred to SAHP for an outlook on even wider experience. With the understanding came the realization of how easy money could be made from information and how the black market flourished under the table. This wishful ambition landed him smack dab in the middle of the National Guards, where he quickly earned his superiors' confidence. And as he climbed in rank, he started establishing a network of contacts on both sides of the law. Power, which had once been a conceptual reverie, was now a full-blown real thing in his life." He got to know swiftly that loyalty, most of the time, is just another word for betrayal; that information is a commodity, and Carlos got to learn just how to enjoy the privileges of living dangerously by mixing law enforcement with crime."
