Dear Administrators,
I am writing to appeal the warning I received for "Fail RP" based on a forum report. I would like to clarify the context and legal grounds for the situation visible in the POV of Suspect ID: 147217.
I request you to re-evaluate the situation based on these facts. Thank you
I am writing to appeal the warning I received for "Fail RP" based on a forum report. I would like to clarify the context and legal grounds for the situation visible in the POV of Suspect ID: 147217.
- Legal Grounds for Detention: We were actively searching for individuals "Wanted by the State." We encountered the suspect and asked him to identify himself, but he refused. Under IC laws, this constitutes Failure to Identify. This violation gave us the full legal right to detain the suspect to verify his identity. Therefore, the initiation of the arrest was valid and within IC rules.
- Role in the Scene: I was not the arresting officer. I was simply present as a spectator acting under my "Bad Cop" bio. As seen in the footage, I did not interfere or break any RP rules.
- Available Evidence: Additionally, the other officers who were present with me have recorded their own POVs, and they have already submitted them in their respective complaint threads on the forum. These videos provide a full perspective of the situation. Pedro , Obito
- No POV Request: I did not receive any notification on my forum account requesting my POV of the arrest, which is why I did not provide it earlier.
- Admin Presence: An administrator was present at the scene and already punished the officer responsible for breaking rules on-site. At that time, I specifically asked for confirmation if we could proceed with the arrest, implying we were trying to follow protocols.
- Context: We accompanied the arresting officer because suspects often commit Meta Gaming (MG) during corruption scenarios, so we needed to be there as witnesses.
I request you to re-evaluate the situation based on these facts. Thank you
