Additional information
1. Leader of SAHP
2. Why do you want to be a leader of this specific organization? (List three reasons with an explanation)
2.1. I'm applying for a leadership role because I want to actively contribute to SAHP leadership and maintaining operational control. SAHP works in a variety of high-pressure, fast-paced scenarios, including coordinated responses, pursuits, and traffic stops. These situations call for leaders who can make confident decisions and maintain officer organization. My objective is to set a good example, give officers clear instructions during operations, and make sure they carry out their responsibilities with assurance and reliability.
2.2 The San Andreas Highway Patrol has a large part in daily operations and is often one of the first to come into contact with citizens at traffic stops or automobile accidents on the highway. As the chief officer, I would like to ensure that every member of SAHP behaves professionally, and with courtesy and self-InControl while dealing with members of the public to build an atmosphere of confidence and respect for SAHP as a law enforcement agency, while also preventing unnecessary escalation and thus producing higher-quality role-play experiences for the community. Leadership within the organization is critical to the overall ways in which the public perceive SAHP.
2.3. Leadership doesn't just come from having authority, but also from being accountable for your actions while continuing to improve upon them over time. As an officer, I'll be there to monitor officer performance on a continual basis, confronting problems directly as they come up, and providing assistance to officers who want to develop themselves further in their ability to perform their job and make sound decisions. I will create high expectations and practice consistency to promote discipline, dependability, and teamwork amongst SAHP employees; thus creating an SAHP which will be stable and have a good reputation for years to come.
3. Your advice for improving the RolePlay level in the organization.
In order to elevate the organization's role-playing capabilities, it is imperative that leadership establishes the appropriate and consistent level of expectation. Based on my experience serving on HRT at various times, I have been taught how to perform high-pressure/high-risk operations and therefore I can offer sound guidance based on the level of training and experience I possess as an officer.
I will communicate to each officer in a manner that demonstrates to them that I am capable of providing assistance and through that demonstration, I will also reinforce to them that an officer has received proper training, understands their responsibilities, and will be adequately prepared for any incident that may occur.
In an attempt to enhance the development of the officers I will conduct myself calmly, provide the correct method of decision-making, and facilitate all role play scenarios in a way that establishes a positive role model for the agency.
As an officer, if you make a mistake, you should expect that I will work with you through formal means to show you how to correctly show your behavior in a professional manner in the future. With continued structured training, consistent leadership and continued expectation of being professional, the entire agency should be able to create immersive/high quality role-play that is produced by making the officers appear as though they are naturally producing by exhibiting professionalism and confidence while performing their duties.
