2. Why do you want to be a leader of this specific organization? (List three reasons with an explanation)
1) I want to be the leader of SAHP to create a work environment where every officer feels motivated to stay, improve and enjoy their employment within the organization. In many organizations people leave because they feel ignored or because they don't get what they deserve. My main goal is to build a highly organised team where everyone knows their what their job is and feels like they are part of a team. To do this I will hold regular meetings to listen to the concerns of my officers and make sure they are happy. By focusing on a positive atmosphere and good organization I can make sure SAHP has a high number of active members who are motivated to do their job. On top of holding regular meetings I want to make sure that I am a leader who is easy to reach. In many organizations the low ranked officers are afraid to talk to the leader or they feel like their opinions don't matter. I want to change that by making sure I am always available. If an officer has a problem with their training, questions about rules or even a personal issue within the organization they should be able to come to me directly. By being a supportive leader I can fix small misunderstandings before they turn into big issues that make people want to leave the organization.
2) I want to lead the SAHP because it is the only organization dedicated to protecting the highways and the areas outside the parameters of the city that are often left unmonitored. While the LSPD and FIB focus their patrols almost entirely within the city parameters the San Andreas Highway Patrol has a very specific and unique jurisdiction. Our job is to manage the state's main roads and the rural areas that connect the different parts of the state. I see the SAHP as a unique organization because it takes on the responsibility of the territory that other agencies often ignore. If the SAHP is not active and organized, the highways and the areas outside the city are not patrolled properly and people feel they can break the rules without being caught. I want to lead this organization to make sure that these specific areas are just as safe and professional as the city streets and ensuring that the law is respected.
3) I want to lead the SAHP to ensure it becomes the most legally knowledgeable organization in the state using my background to set a higher standard for how we handle every situation. I believe that for an organization to be truly respected its members must have a perfect understanding of the law and how it is applied. When the SAHP is involved in an arrest there should be no doubt that the law is being followed exactly as it was written. By focusing on this high level of legal knowledge we can avoid mistakes that lead to lawsuits or administrative problems making the whole organization more efficient and professional. The reason I am so confident in this goal is my experience as a District Court Judge having served in the DOJ for almost 9 months straight as an attorney and a member of the judiciary. I can use what I learned in the courtroom to mentor our officers, teaching them how to handle their duties in the most legal way possible.
3. Your advice for improving the RolePlay level in the organization.
1) To increase the realism of the organization I want to move away from the generic ranking systems and introduce a structure that resembles a real United States County Sheriff or Highway Patrol department. This means implementing specific roles like Deputy, Corporal, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. The purpose of this change is to create a more immersive atmosphere where the organization feels like a professional government agency rather than just a group of players. When the ranking system reflects a real world law enforcement agency it encourages everyone to act with more discipline and respect for the hierarchy which naturally raises the quality of every interaction.
I want to transform the US Marshall rank into a unique active part of the organization by establishing contact with the Department of Justice. My goal is to coordinate with the DOJ so that US Marshalls are officially assigned to the protection of the Supreme Court Justices, District Court Judges and the Attorney General. In many cases, these high ranking officials lack dedicated security, and the SAHP is the perfect agency to fill that gap. By giving the US Marshall rank this specific duty we increase the level of serious RolePlay within the department and provide the DOJ with the professional security they require to conduct their duties safely as the most important VIPs.
Furthermore I want to implement a protocol where the SAHP takes over courtroom security whenever the United States Secret Service is unavailable. In the real world the Sheriff’s office is responsible for guarding the courts and I believe the SAHP should provide that same level of service to ensure that legal proceedings are never interrupted. I will assign officers to guard the Department of Corrections. This mirrors real life law enforcement where available units provide extra security for correctional facilities. This ensures that every member of the SAHP has a clear duty at all times preventing inactivity and boredom.
