Life Story
My name is Eren Kuei. I was born in Los Santos and grew up in one of the city's most dangerous neighborhoods. Crime gangs and corruption were a normal part of everyday life. As a child I often witnessed innocent people becoming victims while criminals escaped punishment because they had money influence or powerful connections.
My father worked hard to provide for our family but after he was seriously injured during an armed robbery the investigation went nowhere. The suspects were released due to lack of evidence even though everyone in the neighborhood knew who was responsible. Watching the justice system fail my family made me determined to become a police officer and fight crime the right way.
After graduating from the Police Academy I joined the Los Santos Police Department with strong morals and a genuine desire to protect the public. I believed that honesty and dedication could make a real difference.
As the years passed my perspective changed. I repeatedly watched dangerous criminals avoid prison because of corruption political influence or expensive lawyers. Honest officers were overworked and underappreciated while those willing to bend the rules often advanced more quickly. Little by little I lost faith in the system I had once admired.
My first compromise was small. I accepted confidential information from criminals in exchange for overlooking minor offenses. I justified it by telling myself that the information would help catch more dangerous suspects. Eventually I accepted money favors and gifts convincing myself that everyone in the system benefited from corruption in one way or another. What started as a practical decision slowly became a part of who I was.
