Why Do I Want to Be the EMS Leader?
Taking a step up as a leader in EMS is not just a role I want to play—it's a responsibility I'm ready to take on. Here are three reasons why I believe I'm the best person for the task:
Extensive Experience & Dedication
I’ve been part of EMS for a long time across multiple cities, holding high-responsibility positions such as Deputy Chief of HR and Doctor. Through every phase, I’ve built deep knowledge of EMS operations, team dynamics, and crisis handling. My experience has taught me not just how to lead, but how to support my team through the most intense and unpredictable situations.
I Never Give Up
I've had my share of tough moments in this job—being the only operational EMS working at times, or dealing with emergencies back-to-back. But no matter how bad things became, I never gave up. I always kept going until the end, finished the job, and most of all, saved people's lives. That kind of resilience is what I will bring as a leader.
Strong Communication & People Skills
Communication is key to EMS. Whether training new personnel, working with other agencies, or calming an anxious citizen in the midst of crisis, how and why we listen and communicate matter. I have always tried to be friendly, direct, and respectful—and believe these skills will help to provide a more effective, more cohesive EMS department.
My Vision to Improve EMS Roleplay & Operations
If selected as the official EMS Leader, I possess a well-developed and organized vision to improve the quality of our department and roleplay experience overall:
Enhancing the Management System
My top priority is to improve internal management. I've seen inefficiencies holding us back. I want to fix it by establishing more efficient workflows and accountability systems.
Strengthening the FTO Program
Training is the pillar of any effective EMS. I will make sure we have a minimum of 1 to 3 working FTOs during all busy hours so that our new staff is provided with proper guidance and are not lagging behind.
Improving Ground Services (GS)
GS is a critical part of EMS operations yet often underutilized. I will assign the GS members specifically and give them proper tasks to improve efficacy and ensure the field coverage is best at any given time.
Motivational Events & Recognition
Workers are more productive when they feel appreciated. I will have weekly activities and monthly ceremonies for promotions to recognize high achievers. There will be small celebrations during promotions to enhance morale and enhance motivation.
Weekly Cross-Organization Meetings
Communication with the other departments is essential, especially PD and city government officials. I will conduct weekly meetings with other org leaders to ensure everybody is speaking the same language and to address city-wide issues and coordination plans.
My vision is that being a leader has nothing to do with giving orders—everything to do with being the first in, the last out, and always in. I will place EMS above all else I can provide it, and establish it where individuals feel respected, valued, and proud to be in uniform.
