Own was employed at the Beach market two years prior when he was wrongfully detained on spurious charges of scamming by the dishonest Los Santos Police. After receiving a ten-year prison sentence, he was forgotten until a gang stormed the prison one day, freeing him and several other convicts. The city felt different now that we were back on the streets. More dangerous, darker. He realized he couldn't go back to his previous life now that everything was gone. He established the family, an organization committed to overthrowing the system and starting over.
After two years since his release, the family had become more powerful and their influence had spread throughout the city. Every member contributed something different, including street-tested abilities, insider knowledge of the city's dark side, and a strong desire for change. Operating in the shadows, they gathered intelligence, meticulously planned their actions, and struck when the moment was right. Despite the size and ingrained nature of the system they aimed to overthrow, they persisted.
Their efforts had not gone unappreciated, though. The family realized they were facing more than just opposing gangs and dishonest officials one evening when they got together to decide their next course of action. The actual struggle for control of Los Santos had just begun, and someone or something was keeping an eye on them.
