To the GrandRP Administrative Team,​

I am writing this appeal with the utmost respect and urgency to formally contest the ban placed on my account under the alleged violation of Event Rule 1.7. I believe this ban was unjustified, based on circumstantial suspicion, and enforced without any concrete evidence of wrongdoing.

Context and Explanation:​

During the event in question, I pressed the F9 key. This key, on my system, is mapped as the default NVIDIA ShadowPlay record button. Typically, I use Alt + F9 to manually start or stop recordings, but on that particular moment, I only pressed F9 accidentally without the "Alt" modifier.

Despite this, I was instantly flagged and banned, under the belief that I had activated or was attempting to use some sort of third-party tool or illegal client. I want to emphasize that this was not the case. I have never installed, used, or attempted to use any third-party cheat, exploit, or enhancement tool in GrandRP or any other server. I am fully aware of the rules and respect the integrity of the roleplay environment that the server seeks to maintain.

Investigation Conducted:​

To demonstrate my sincerity and transparency, I cooperated fully with the investigating admin. Here's a summary of what they checked on my system during the appeal process:

• Game Logs – No abnormalities found.
  
  
• File Integrity (via verification) – Everything was clean.
  
  
• Screenshots and Recordings – I had no software that injected overlays or foreign scripts.
  
  
• Browser History and Background Services – Nothing unusual or suspicious.
  
  
• Startup Programs / Installed Applications – Again, no trace of any cheats or illegal software.
  

Despite having zero evidence of wrongdoing, the decision to ban me was upheld. I was told that my explanation – that I accidentally hit F9 – was insufficient, even though no traces of foul play were discovered.

My Position:​

• I was falsely banned.
  
  
• There is no evidence against me to prove any use or intent of cheating.
  
  
• I fully cooperated with the admins, gave access to everything requested, and maintained full transparency.
  
  
• I did not break Event Rule 1.7 – a key press without resulting suspicious behavior or software involvement should not result in a ban.
  
  
• I am a longstanding, respectful member of the GrandRP community, and I take pride in the quality of my roleplay and my commitment to fair play.
  

On the Rule Itself – Event Rule 1.7:​

After carefully reviewing the server rules, there is no mention anywhere that pressing certain keys, such as F9, is a bannable offense on its own. There is also no warning issued to players about system keybind conflicts (such as NVIDIA’s recording keys or OBS hotkeys). If certain keys are restricted, this should be clearly documented, or at the very least, players should be warned or educated—not punished without evidence of actual cheating.

Final Appeal Request:​

I ask that this appeal be escalated beyond the initial reviewing admin to a neutral, high-ranking staff member who can evaluate the facts objectively and without bias. All the evidence (or lack thereof) points to the truth:

• No cheats.
• No 3rd party scripts.
• Clean logs and system files.
• Full cooperation.
• No actual rule broken.

What more can I possibly show to prove my innocence? I did not even activate the full recording combo (Alt+F9), and still this misunderstanding led to a ban.

I care about this server, have built friendships here, and invested significant time into my character and storyline. It would be a huge loss to be excluded over an unintentional key press that led to no rule violation.

Please understand, I’m not asking for special treatment – I’m asking for fair treatment. I believe in the integrity of the GrandRP staff, and I trust that someone will see the truth in my words. I have faith that this matter can still be resolved with clarity and fairness.
