Dear Grand RP Team, dear players of the De03 community,
It has already been over Four years since I first set foot on this server and began gaining my first experiences. No matter how the decision on this forum post turns out, I simply wanted to take a moment to thank you for the time in between. I was able to share many great moments with the people involved in this project and be a part of it myself. What I always admired about De03 were the players and the “special atmosphere.” Compared to other servers in the Grand RP network, De03 was always a unique server, shaped by many different individuals and driven by passion and the joy of playing.
Now this journey/career unfortunately came to an end almost exactly a year ago. It started with increasing complications and rule violations, and ultimately ended with a permanent ban...
I don’t intend to write here, like some others do, that I am a completely different person now and so on — because, let’s be honest, in most cases that’s not meant seriously and doesn't reflect reality. On one hand, because the time between the ban and the unban request usually isn't that long, and on the other hand, because you can’t just suddenly become a “new person.”
In my case, it’s now been almost a year, and as I said, I’m not a completely new person — but I do believe I can confidently say that I have developed as a person during this time. Both the server and I have changed and evolved. Looking back, I realize that many, many things didn’t go the way they should have. To be clear, many rules were broken and words were spoken that weren’t always perceived as intended. I would like to mention that I always served each of my penalties, whether deserved or not. But let’s not open that can of worms, because this is about the things that didn't come to light during my "career" on Grand.
The things that very few people knew about, but which could have had a big impact. Many ideas, concepts, and wishes never saw the light of day in this project, and the few that did often weren’t taken seriously…
Maybe some admins still remember how I asked a few times about my punishment history or the date of the last sanction, to check when I could write an RP bio or something similar. Most of the time, I couldn’t even make use of that time — or before I started writing, a new sanction came in, which is honestly quite sad...
But let’s not dwell too much on the past and instead focus on why I believe I should be unbanned.
A lot has happened between the time I was banned and now. I was contacted daily, asked what had happened, why I got banned, and even had people offer to write unban requests for me or ask about "last rides"... But I declined all of it, because it just didn’t feel right, and I honestly didn’t think I’d ever be sitting here writing this request.
But things happen, and now I am submitting this request and hoping I’ll be given the chance to finally show the potential I still believe lies within me.
This might all sound overly dramatic, but I kindly ask you to genuinely consider it and not approach it with a biased mindset, instantly rejecting it. I’m aware there may be reasons to keep me banned, and that some may think I bring no value to the project — but in that regard, I must respectfully disagree. I do believe that my participation, motivation, enthusiasm, and the energy and passion I could bring to this project could contribute positively.
To avoid dragging this out too much, I’ll end it here and truly hope that this will be considered thoroughly before a decision is made.
I wish all readers of this post a pleasant day/night, and I’m always available for any questions or comments. Hopefully, with some luck, we’ll see each other again with a fresh start on the streets of Los Santos!
