Previous Appeal (rejected due to missing context): Rejected - Ban for GR 3.1 and GR 5.3 | Ghost Mistakenly
To the Respected Curator / Project Management,
I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing this as a final clarification appeal regarding the 10-day ban issued by Admin Ghost Mistakenly under GR 3.1 and GR 5.3.
This is not a repeat appeal — the previous one was rejected before I could explain the full context. I’m requesting this review to clarify what actually happened.
At the time of the situation, I had made an IC report at Bloods HQ regarding a player breaking rules. Admin Ghost Mistakenly responded with “here,” and I respectfully replied, “Ghost Mistakenly sir, he's gone.” That was the last direct chat interaction I had.
Shortly after, I received a sudden OOC call from a friend. I answered the call and unknowingly left my in-game mic open. I believe something I said during that OOC voice conversation may have been overheard and misinterpreted as disrespect toward the admin — but that was never my intention, nor was it directed at the admin or anyone in the game.
At that moment, I didn’t even realize Ghost Mistakenly was still present or nearby. My IC conversation ended before the OOC call even started, and there was a significant gap before I joined RP Factory (more than one hour later). The ban happened during RP Factory, which was well after the OOC call ended.
I have never disrespected any admin or broken server rules intentionally. I always maintain a clean punishment history and value the Grand RP community.
I fully take responsibility for the open mic, but I hope the context shows that this was a genuine misunderstanding — not actual disrespect or a rule break. I kindly request Project Management to reconsider the situation.
If full unban is not possible, I would deeply appreciate at least a reduction in the ban duration, given that the issue arose due to a misinterpreted OOC moment, not intentional behavior.
Thank you for taking the time to read this appeal. I truly respect the server, its admins, and rules, and I will be much more careful in the future to avoid any confusion.
Sincerely,
Eathan Carlson
