Life Story:-
Faraz Slim was born and raised in the typically Sandy Shores site by a single mother who made a living as a seamstress and would work long hours as one. Faraz was born with an innate curiosity about how things worked. In his youth, he would pull apart household electronics and create strange contraptions in the backyard. He was a quiet good observer.
In high school really came into his own when he won a science competition with a home-constructed water filtration system which physically set him on the path into mechanical engineering at a regional technical university. Rather than trying to gain corporate internships for the summer breaks, Faraz mentored in poor under-served communities, building nothing commercial, rather creating low-cost irrigation pumps and rainwater collection systems that were useful to their communities.
After university, Faraz worked for an international nonprofit and travelled rural Asia and Africa to create and share sustainable engineering solutions. He always considered himself a collaborator he not only built, he educated. Local communities described him as humble and genuinely invested in their future.
When he returned to his home in his thirties he founded Roots & Rivets, a community-based tech collective that provides hands-on design and engineering training to youth in low-income neighborhoods. Under his leadership, the youth produced functional, inexpensive tools to overcome everyday challenges, Even as Faraz lived a straightforward life he did appreciate honesty and the little joys that made the days worth living.
Outcomes:
1. Faraz can pick up any weapon from the ground and use it for his own defense (not in any active gunfight & within the rules).
2. Faraz can easily drive cars (except supercars) on rough roads without breaking any RP.
3. Faraz can recognize anyone by their clothes and voice (without breaking MG by looking at their ID).
