Hi Johnny, this is Hank Walters. I received a 60-day ban for bug abuse, and I’d like to explain my situation as clearly as possible.
The confusion comes from the fact that engine level 4 appeared on the very same day as the new update. If an option is visible and usable in the system, it’s natural to assume it’s part of the update, especially when there was no announcement saying otherwise. For example, in Clash of Clans, when Supercell accidentally released the Super Yeti too early, players who used it weren’t banned; it was simply clarified and fixed later. But it didn't even feel like that! It didn't even feel like a "bug"
For the past five months, I’ve been a dedicated player. My "contact to administration" history shows that I’ve always gone out of my way to ask questions before doing anything that might be considered risky or unclear. That’s why this ban truly surprised me.
I admit I should have asked about this case as well, and I regret not doing so...
but having to ask every single time out of fear of being banned doesn’t seem like a healthy way to play long-term either.
I’ve invested countless hours into building my business and house in this community. If this ban could be reconsidered, I’ll immediately remove the engines and ensure nothing like this happens again. I hope you’ll take into account not just this incident but also my consistent caution and contribution to the city.
