Today, in the forum post opened against us, it was about a robbery carried out by Vagos where 2 FIB agents were being robbed, and at that point, no hostage had been taken yet. I sent a global message stating that they should respond as a department and that this was gang activity. Then one FIB agent arrived on the scene.
We had absolutely no knowledge that there was a hostage from our perspective, it looked like they were just robbing civilians or LEOs. Even at the time when shots were fired, it still seemed like just a robbery. The FIB agent opened fire on them, and suddenly a fight broke out. A few seconds later, 1 or 2 Vagos members arrived and, even though I got out of my vehicle and did not engage, they shot at me as well. I ran away, thinking again that there were no hostages involved.
After that, I focused only on arresting the ones left behind. I did not shoot first I was just watching the FIB agent make a mistake. But when they shot at me too, I believed the fight had officially started and that there were still no hostages involved.
