Aakrit Thakur had a rough childhood and grew up in a crime-ridden neighborhood full of betrayal and corruption. He quickly learned the street life at a very young age. When he was still a child, danger and easy money were the main reasons for him to engage in car theft, scamming, and small hustling.
His reckless behavior, however, led to his arrest in a short time. When confronted with a long prison term, Aakrit chose to cooperate with the authorities by giving them information about his friends and he made a deal with the police. The decision he made was quite contentious but nevertheless, he learned a lot about power and realized that the most potent weapon in the world could be information.
Career Story:
I got my first job as a technician at a company that manufactures pneumatic equipment for industrial plants. Afterwards, I was able to land a job as a project manager in an innovative startup with new technology to produce energy in a cleaner way. Due to my good work performance, I was promoted to the position of commercial director. I held that position for 5 years until the company was sold and I was dismissed.For me, the path to where I am now is a very difficult question. I believe I will have to refer back to the time when I decided to change careers halfway through. It was a moment where I realized that if I do not change my path, I would not feel fulfilled in my life. I left the university and industry I was working in, then I started my own business related to my passion, tourism, travel, and adventure activities.If I look back, I can see that the stuff I was initially doing is totally different from my current job. I was doing hardware necessary work and now I am doing the logistics and the financial aspects of the business. I could call my journey as a career pivot eventually continuing to deepen my experience in the new area. At the midpoint of my second act, I would say it was the career pivot point.
Aakrit's agent provocateur activities within the police department were a great success and it did not escape the notice of FBI officers. They saw in him the traits of being daring and intelligent which implied that he had a lot of potential. He was offered a choice to take the course at the FBI Academy instead of being detained. He put a lot of effort into his work, learned new skills, and was, therefore, elevated in rank later on.
Nevertheless, Aakrit was still the same old one. The badge gave him new doors to trick people. Power corrupted Aakrit, thus he started to commit crimes, fabricating cases, and even overeating was his reason. Though on the outside he is a stubbornly professional and calm man, he is someone who will use any method, even playing both sides of the law, to reach his goals and to gratify his wants and needs.
