Hello respected higher administration team,
I am writing this forum post to respectfully appeal and question the decision made by Admin Frost_Vukovic, who punished me for having the in-game name Winter_Guy, stating that it was “not a realistic name.”
First of all, I would like to clarify that I fully respect the admin team and the rules of the server. This post is not made out of disrespect, but rather to request a fair reconsideration of the decision.
I respectfully request the higher administration to:
I am not asking for special treatment, only fairness and consistency.
Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. I am open to any clarification or final decision from the higher admin team.
Respectfully,
Tanveer_Federal
I am writing this forum post to respectfully appeal and question the decision made by Admin Frost_Vukovic, who punished me for having the in-game name Winter_Guy, stating that it was “not a realistic name.”
First of all, I would like to clarify that I fully respect the admin team and the rules of the server. This post is not made out of disrespect, but rather to request a fair reconsideration of the decision.
My Reasoning
- Lack of Clear Rule Violation
According to GR2.1, a name is considered invalid if it:
i) Is not realistic or unrelated to real-world naming
ii) Uses famous persons’ names
My name Winter_Guy:
i) Does not reference any famous person
ii) Uses common English words
iii) “Winter” is a real-world surname and nickname
iv) “Guy” is a neutral and commonly used identifier
There are many real-life surnames and nicknames derived from seasons, nature, or traits. Therefore, Winter_Guy still fits within realistic RP naming standards
- Consistency with Server Standards
I have seen many similar names on the server that are accepted, such as names based on seasons, nature, or nicknames. If Winter_Guy is considered unrealistic, then many similar names should also be treated the same, which does not seem to be the case. - Good Faith Roleplay History
I have always tried to follow server rules, maintain RP quality, and respect staff decisions. I changed my name to Tanveer_Federal immediately to comply, even though I genuinely liked and identified with my previous name.
Admin Name Consistency Observation (Respectfully Noted)
I would also like to respectfully point out that the admin involved is named Frost_Vukovic. “Frost,” similar to “Winter,” is also a weather/season-related term.
Names like Winter, Frost etc, are commonly used as surnames or aliases in RP environments. Interestingly, even the admin’s own name “Frost_Vukovic” includes a word (“Frost”) that could also be interpreted as non-realistic if taken strictly.
I am not questioning the admin’s authority, but mentioning this to highlight that season-based words are already being accepted within naming conventions on the server.
i) Inconsistency in Name Rule Enforcement
While my name was punished under GR2.1, I have observed that there are multiple active players on the server with names that appear equally or even more unrealistic, yet remain unpunished. Some examples that I personally noticed include:
- Sarthak_Fearless
- Aayush_Fearless
- Badmosh_Mikey (ID: 151555)
- Cobra_Entity (ID: 77765)
- Marco_Blade
- Nomi_Unstoppablee (ID: 79971)
- Nexx_Spider (ID: 151472)
- Berlin_Kingg (ID: 106905)
- Infinity_Assassin
- Jimmy_TheRival
- Baby_Blue
- Smac_Playz (ID: 71966)
- Trent_Imposter
This brings up a concern regarding consistency in rule enforcement. If Winter_Guy is considered unrealistic under GR2.1, then logically, several of the names listed above would also fall under the same rule. My intention in pointing this out is not to report other players, but to highlight the need for uniform application of the rules.
My Request
I respectfully request the higher administration to:
- Allow me to reclaim my previous in-game name "Winter_Guy", as I believe it does not violate the realism standards when compared to many currently existing names on the server
- Reconsider the punishment issued by Frost_Vukovic
I am not asking for special treatment, only fairness and consistency.
Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. I am open to any clarification or final decision from the higher admin team.
Respectfully,
Tanveer_Federal
