Hello,
Yesterday, I was attempting to steal a caravan together with my family members. Below is the full POV of the situation:
After the caravan had already spawned, I approached it. At that point, one of the family members at the caravan opened fire on me without any prior interaction. We returned fire.
Even though, at that moment, I was not required to give demands due to being shot at first, I still chose to give clear demands again to ensure everyone understood what was happening.
From my understanding, and based on previous confirmations from admins, once the caravan has spawned it is allowed to engage, and demands are only required while actively robbing at the caravan site. In this case, demands were not necessary since they initiated the shooting.
After we killed the first individual, the remaining members attempted to patch him up. We explicitly gave demands instructing them not to patch.
I clearly stated that we were there to steal the caravan. As shown in the POV, I killed one of them and then began shooting at the remaining individual. Since they stood still without reacting, I stopped shooting and proceeded to steal the caravan.
I believe the caravan was taken fairly and according to the rules. This was not a circle event, so I do not understand how E.R. rules apply to this situation.
In the past, I have checked caravan-related rules with multiple admins and was consistently told that it is allowed to approach a caravan site and give demands in order to steal it.
If I made a mistake, I would genuinely appreciate clarification on what rule I violated so I can avoid this in the future.
