To the Respected Curator of the Project,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this message with sincere respect to request a reconsideration of my permanent ban issued on 01 May 2023.
On the day that all happened, I was preparing to go to my family house so I could stay AFK and study. Around 21:21 server time (or around 01:51 in my local time) I get yanked into a voice channel by an Administrator Adham asking me if its possible for me to join VC I told him that I could join but would not be able to talk.
When I connected to the VC, I was told to share my screen. The bad news is sitting where I am in my locality we have regular blackouts. I have solar backup on my house and there is a quick 2-3 second power cut during transfer. When I returned to my desk, my router had turned off and router switched back on (PC never went down). To bring the PC back to life I pulled out my personal mobile hotspot. Being that it was the family computer, all email and YouTube accounts we’d been signed into are now signed out. I was browsing a coding video on YouTube in the VC and tried to add it to my playlist, which required logging into my main YouTube account. Eventually the solar backup came and my router connection came back, so I joined VC again and started screen sharing. Somewhere along the line someone must have wrote down the name of my youtube account (“Alpha Pluxury”) and this sort of confirmed everyone’s’ belief that I was purposely switching accounts or pretending to be someone else. I tried explaining that this was a result of using the same PC and due to a sudden power+net failure. After this conversation I was told that my name had been blacklisted for apparently uploading or leaking administrative material and for misleading staff. I wish to reply honestly and courteously that while I did not download, make public, or disseminate any administrative data. Nothing was saved on recordings or files and no file has been shared with anyone. I got told after that there would be no more talk in VC, and to apply a forum appeal and I was kicked. I thought that sucked, I was a participant and felt committed to it, both the project and its people.
Now, with hindsight, I can see how these events might have looked suspect in a live investigation. I also know that I could have better dealt with the situation in a more relaxed and clear manner. For that, I take responsibility.
And now, nearly three years later, I am approaching you again like a mature adult who is ready to move on. I respectfully request for my case to be reconsidered based on the circumstances, time passed and my commitment in obeying all regulations and administrative requirements if I am given a second chance.
It would mean ALOT to me even for a second chance under conditions. Regardless of the result, I want to thank you for taking time and the responsibility you carry in overseeing the project.
Respectfully,
Soham Gaitonde
