Hi Lebron,
I hope you’re doing well! I just wanted to share some thoughts from an outside perspective—nothing official, just some observations from someone who’s been around the Grand RP community for a while.
I’m not active on DE01 right now, but having spent a couple of years in the community and previously serving as an admin on DE04, I still follow what’s happening across the project.
From that point of view, the recent changes on the DE01 admin team were a bit surprising. Several new team members and some structural changes happened in a short period, but it wasn’t entirely clear how the decisions were made. At the same time, some long-term contributors who’ve applied consistently weren’t selected, which naturally makes people wonder about the process.
The speed of these changes probably adds to the confusion. Quick adjustments without much external communication can create uncertainty or mixed impressions among experienced players watching from the sidelines.
There’s also a sense that some responsibilities are going to folks who are still building their rule knowledge or admin experience. That’s understandable staffing isn’t easy but keeping standards consistent is important for trust and stability in the long run.
Another thing that came to mind is fairness and equality in the process. Some of the new admins may have already held admin roles in the past, but it’s important that prior experience doesn’t automatically give anyone an advantage over other qualified candidates. Ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity would help maintain trust and a sense of fairness across the community.
I want to be clear: This isn’t a criticism, just a friendly perspective from someone who’s seen how things work in the community or in the admin team. Transparency, clear communication, consistency, and fair treatment have always been strengths of Grand RP, and focusing on these could really help DE01 moving forward.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I hope it’s helpful!
Best regards,
A former DE04 Admin
