I'm contacting you today to submit an unban request and explain my side of the story regarding the accusation of real-money trading.
I've been actively playing on your server since 2022 and have invested many hours over the years. During this time, I've always adhered to the rules. If any problems arose, I always took responsibility and apologized accordingly. That's why I find it so difficult to understand why I've been banned again without any apparent, valid evidence.
The current ban is based on the fact that I lent money to a player in-game. This was explicitly not real-money trading. As mentioned, the player I lent the money to is the stepfather of my best friend, whom I've known in real life for many years. The player gave me his word that I would receive the loaned money back in full. Furthermore, my best friend also vouched for him and confirmed this repayment to me. Upon request, I can also provide proof of this connection and the existing relationship of trust outside of the game.
Since I am currently hardly active due to work and am away on business until September of this year, I personally did not directly benefit from the money and therefore agreed to this deal – without any ulterior motives or intention to break any rules.
I am aware that very strict rules apply on your server, especially regarding economics and real-money trading. For precisely this reason, I have always actively sought contact with admins in the past to clarify in advance whether planned deals are compliant with the rules or not. I have always made a genuine effort to adhere to the rules and act correctly.
I also know that real-money trading is extremely damaging to the server. Regardless of the number of players, a server cannot be economically viable if real-money trading is tolerated or supported, which in the worst-case scenario could even lead to the server's closure. Such behavior would be extremely damaging to me personally after all the time and money I have invested – for this reason alone, I have absolutely no interest in engaging in or supporting real-money trading.
Additionally, I would like to point out that I received a ban about a year ago. That deal also involved ID 50040. At the time of its conclusion, this deal was within the rules. A new rule was introduced retroactively, yet I was still banned for 30 days. I received no concrete or comprehensible explanation at the time. I was simply informed that the decision had been made "from above."
In the current situation, I have again been banned without any apparent, valid reason. I find this very unfortunate, as I had hoped for more transparency and integrity – especially towards players who have been active, loyal, and rule-abiding on the server for a long time.
Therefore, I cannot imagine that the server administration would ban players who enjoy playing on your server long-term without solid evidence. That is precisely why I am addressing this request directly to you.
I therefore ask you to review my case again carefully and lift my ban. I consider myself a serious, loyal, and rule-abiding player, and I would be very sorry to have to remember the server with such an experience after all these years.
