Redaction Advisory: Some entries have been redacted without documented cause. The reason for these redactions is not reflected in the file, suggesting discretionary handling beyond typical administrative procedures.

Life Story

Born in London to a middle-class family, Danny Crimson was always sharp-witted, ambitious, and highly disciplined from an early age. He joined Scotland Yard young, quickly distinguishing himself through ruthless efficiency, investigative precision, and an uncommon understanding of legal loopholes. While his results were impressive, his methods often pushed ethical boundaries and raised concerns among more traditional officers.

During his time in the UK, Crimson was involved in multiple high-profile corruption investigations targeting senior officials. Many of those cases ended quietly, with resignations, ruined careers, or unexplained circumstances. Though never formally charged, Crimson was subtly encouraged to pursue his career elsewhere.

He relocated to the United States and entered service with the United States Secret Service. His rise was rapid, driven by competence and political awareness, until a major incident involving the kidnapping of a governor under his protection led to intense scrutiny. Although the governor was eventually recovered, the fallout resulted in the disbandment of Crimson’s unit, leaving him without a command but with extensive connections.

Government, DOJ & Internal Affairs (as Danny Crimson)

After leaving federal service, Danny Crimson entered San Andreas government service as a multi-trained agent operating across investigative, legal, and internal oversight roles. His combined operational and legal background led to his appointment as a State Attorney, handling sensitive cases involving organised crime, state employees, and internal misconduct.

Crimson later held commander-level authority within government investigative structures and was appointed Director of Internal Affairs, overseeing misconduct investigations across multiple state organisations. In this role, he developed a reputation for being thorough, politically aware, and selective, capable of dismantling serious problems while keeping public fallout minimal.

When the government term eventually dissolved, Crimson stepped away from formal government leadership.

LSPD District Attorney Era (Danny Crimson)

Following the dissolution of the government term, Danny Crimson was personally requested by the LSPD Chief at the time to join the department as District Attorney, specifically to bring prosecutorial discipline and internal oversight to LSPD.

As DA, Crimson also assisted in running Internal Affairs, leveraging his prior experience as Director of IA. In this capacity, he:

  • Controlled charging decisions involving LSPD officers
  • Guided and influenced IA investigations
  • Protected favoured personnel while isolating liabilities
  • Maintained a public image of professionalism and reform
His tenure as DA was effective but controversial. While no formal wrongdoing was proven, political pressure, internal tension, and shifting leadership eventually pushed Crimson out of the spotlight. He left LSPD still known as Danny Crimson.

Identity Change & Return to LSPD

After departing LSPD, Danny Crimson formally changed his name to Dan Hale. The decision was deliberate, a way to distance himself from a reputation that carried too much history, too many enemies, and too much scrutiny.

Now, under new LSPD leadership, Hale has been requested to return, not as a leader, not as a prosecutor, but as a Task Force Operative. The role allows him to contribute his experience in investigations and legal matters without reopening old political wounds.

To most, Dan Hale is a seasoned government professional brought back quietly to help stabilise sensitive operations. To those who recognise him, Danny Crimson never really left, he simply learnt when to stop using the name.
