I was driving a cab around the city passing some time and then suddenly i am booted from the game and banned for life, not sure what is going on. I don't use cheats, there must be something wrong somewhere.

The "Packet Loss" Argument
When you manually quit GTA 5 (Alt+F4 or "Exit Game"), your computer sends a specific command to the server saying, "The user is leaving now." The server logs this as "User Quit."
However, when a mobile hotspot drops its signal, that command is never sent. The server simply stops receiving data from you. After a few seconds, the server realizes you are gone and logs it as "Timed Out" or "Connection Lost
