Rejected Complaint Regarding Officer Conduct – Officer John Kooos #280334

I would like to file a complaint regarding an incident that occurred today involving Officer John Kooos (#280334).

I was driving from a parking lot to the impound lot to retrieve my vehicle when I was stopped for alleged reckless driving. While I did not believe I was driving recklessly, I complied with the stop and accepted that the situation would proceed regardless.

However, during the interaction, the officer drove me around town for several minutes and repeatedly asked whether I would prefer to go to jail or pay him $100,000. This was also typed in left eye chat. I will be including screenshots showing this.

This felt like clear corruption/blackmail rather than legitimate RP enforcement.

Additionally, when I was eventually processed, I received:

• 5 wanted stars
• 85 minutes in jail (including being placed in solitary)
• A large fine
• A charge of Sexual Harassment

The Sexual Harassment charge in particular makes no sense in the context of the traffic stop. There was no RP interaction that would reasonably justify that charge.

I understand that consequences are part of RP, and I am fully willing to accept fair outcomes. However, this situation felt excessive and outside the bounds of reasonable in-character enforcement. The length of the sentence, the additional charge, and the demand for money do not seem proportionate or justified.

I respectfully request that this incident be reviewed. I will provide screenshots of the interaction in left eye chat for context.
