Hello dear Curators,
I hope you are doing well.
I am making this forum post regarding a question that many people in the RP community have and would like clarification on.
First and foremost, I want to clarify that we are not saying we hate the current way events are handled. We fully respect the rules and understand that outcomes are often bounded by server regulations. However, many players feel that events can sometimes become repetitive, and the rule limitations may restrict creativity and organic roleplay.
For example:
During hostage negotiations, if a negotiator from an illegal faction offers two hostages in exchange for “better” free passage on their own creative terms, state factions are often still able to convince them to surrender instead of them attempting escape. While we understand this may be rule-bound, it sometimes limits the opportunity for genuine negotiation skill — such as successfully talking down a stubborn criminal without OOC punishment for creative roleplay outcomes.
This brings us to the main question:
Are we allowed to conduct Player-Scripted RP in GrandRP without informing admins beforehand?
The reason this is a complex question is because there are different levels of scripted RP:
Example:
During a traffic stop, a player roleplays getting injured using RP commands. EMS is called to assist and transport them to the hospital for surgery. This is spontaneous and contained.
Example:
A gang leader is arrested and placed in a holding cell. The highest-ranking FIB official is called in to negotiate and extract information through a detailed interrogation scenario. This would involve coordinated storytelling between multiple factions.
So our concern is:
Are we allowed to carry out these player-based IC scripted scenarios without facing OOC punishment, as long as they do not break server rules? (Powergaming, Metagaming etc)
We are simply seeking clarity so we can expand creativity within the framework of the rules while still respecting administrative authority.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I hope you are doing well.

The reason this is a complex question is because there are different levels of scripted RP:
1. Simple Day-to-Day Scripts
Example:
During a traffic stop, a player roleplays getting injured using RP commands. EMS is called to assist and transport them to the hospital for surgery. This is spontaneous and contained.
2. Hardcore Criminal / Military Operation Scripts
