On 2/18/26, i filed a report for violation of state rule 5.2 against player ids 59335 and 41476, thread 1264115. In my report i submitted video evidence of officers pulling up on me and stopping me demanding id because they were looking for criminals. The city to my knowledge has legislation based on american law. While there may be server rules, there is also city legislation in place as well. And as such, police departments by roleplay standards are supposed to abide by that legislation. Part of that legislation is the Civil Rights act where under amendment 2 it clearly states citizens have a right to refuse identification from police if police do not have probable cause or suspicion of a crime. And since the cities legislation runs parallel with american legislation, I cite Brown V Texas in 1979, an american supreme court case in which is was ruled that officers cannot just request id from anyone in the area they are searching for a wanted criminal. they need to have a description of the suspect, or something. Because otherwise if officers are allowed to just run up to anyone in city and demand id, then there is no point in having amendment 2 under the civil rights act of san andreas. These officers nor the admin can clarify what the probable cause or reasonable suspicion was to stop me outside of they were looking for a criminal, which is not probable cause to demand id. You guys made the roleplay server and set the rules.if we are operating on the basis that players are supposed to act in game as they would irl, then these officers irl would have been held liable for violating my right to privacy and unlawful search and seizure. if the server does not provide police departments with the ability to identify suspects they are looking for, such as description of suspects clothes or vehicles they may be in, this is an issue that needs to be addressed with curators. I am just trying to rp based off laws and standards, but it doesn't appear that everyone is.
So my question is, is this a roleplay lobby? Or are we just all playing a video game and certain people are protected from violating the rules.
not trying to insult anyone, but fair needs to be fair. and if the city is operating its legislation based on American law, then admin members should be well knowledgeable on American law so they don't make wrong decision.
