Life Story
My name is Chupapi Tzariar
I come from a middle class family. We ran a small, 24 hour convenience store with an ATM, and the store and the ATM ran our family. My dad worked every hour under the sun with zero complaints. He sacrificed everything, and I mean everything, to ensure that we were fed and sheltered. He was the epitome of hard work and real responsibility.
I always knew that while I loved and appreciated our family business, I was meant for much more. I wanted to create my own legacy. I wanted to serve, lead and do something impactful. I was concrete in my goals. I knew I wanted to join NG and become an Assit General.
I knew that I was chasing a tough dream. It costed me leaving my home town West Bengal and moving to Los Santos for my education which ultimately meant leaving my family behind. It was worth it starting from scratch in a new city. Yes, there were tough moments including, financial troubles, lonliness and I often questioned Om my decision but in the end it was worth it. Meeting someone with the same goal as me was fierce encouragement. He was going to join NG too! We became the best of friends, closer than brothers. We worked the same job, saved every dollar, and kept each other going during study sessions. Every other week, he would say the same thing, “Remember the dream.” He was the best support I could have from so far away.
When I first applied for NG, I did not make it. That hit me hard. I almost lost motivation, but instead I grew stronger. I had to get rid of my pride, apologize for my excuses to myself, and put in the most effort I had ever put in before while keeping my focus on the sacrifices I had made to come to this point. I worked hard and eventually got selected! It was the best feeling in the world to finally make it. All the hard work and sacrifices finally paid off. I discovered love along the way. Someone who understood my pain, hardship, and challenges, and married me. But just because we married, life didn’t get easier. We had mounting financial issues and responsibilities. For three years we battled together and remained supportive, and I learned the lessons of strength, resilience, and true partnership.
I stand as someone who has lived the experience of failure, hardship and sacrifice, but I have also learned the lessons of perseverance. I have become a better person.
This is only the beginning of a bigger story.
Professional Story:
I started my professional career as a trainee in SAHP. This part of my life was filled with learning and development. As a trainee, I did not only learn processes and discipline, I also learned the value of teamwork, accountability, and keeping my cool no matter what. I was also able to form lasting friendships with people who helped shape me and teach me things I never thought I could learn.
Through hard work and perseverance, I slowly proved myself. My hard work paid off, and I was given a promotion to a higher level. This promotion was not just a new position – it was also a testament to the fact that discipline and hard work always win. One day, I heard that the Government was recruiting new agents. I was ready. I thought that I had acquired enough knowledge and experience to handle a higher level of responsibility. I applied confidently. However, on my first try, I was disqualified for a slight deficiency in knowledge and experience. While this was disappointing, it did not discourage me.
Instead, I chose to upgrade. I worked even harder than before. I focused on working on my weaknesses, gaining more hands-on experience, and mentally and professionally preparing myself. On my second attempt, my hard work paid off, and I was accepted into the Government. Being in the Government was a whole new level of accountability.I encountered genuine challenges and undertook high-risk missions that demanded professionalism, accuracy, and sound decision-making skills. These missions pushed me to my limits and forced me to stretch myself beyond what I thought was possible.
Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever, and shortly thereafter, I was no longer employed by the Government. This was one of the hardest experiences I've ever had and it was not going to define my life. I chose to continue my service in uniform and join the National Guard (NG). Although I was once again starting from a lower rank, I was more experienced and physically, mentally, and emotionally more mature. I worked hard, keeping myself disciplined and focused on demonstrating who I am, not telling people who I am.
Each step of my professional life, from being a trainee to a Government agent to an NG employee, has taught me the value of being resilient, a leader, and never giving up.
And I am still moving forward.
