I have recently been banned by Bobby Pluxury for rule 2.39 Which is "2.39 You are not allowed to right hand peak | 7 day ban" (Ghost peaking).
When shown In my POV not only am I left hand peeking but not a single bullet hit any player during the capture meaning the outcome was not effected whatsoever. And according to Bobby Pluxury I "Didn't move a single inch to try to shoot them" shown in the screenshots below when clearly in my POV I am shown swinging out therefore getting myself killed. In conclusion to this according to the logic of the punishment if a player shoots the wall and no shots hit they should be then punished for 7 days?
Some things to point out, this is the first time I have ever experienced this not only in regards to myself but all other turfers I have ever played with. I understand the rule 2.39 clearly but what should enable that rule is the player being hit. What if I just had bad aim and shot the wall or its surrounding by mistake? I should then be punished that would clearly be ridiculous. Or what if there was a scenario where I would want to make the other team aware that I am holding a peak and would therefore would like to send warning shots without being hit, I should then be punished for doing this?
In conclusion, I have played turfs since the very beginning of this server and have shown nothing but good intent towards the project. However, this decision was so obscure that it is almost impossible for me not to say something.
Outcomes of it getting accepted:
Any shot being made will be POV requested without even being hit. So an audio of a shot being fired without seeing the initiator will then be allowed to be POV requested (regardless of being hit) Game plans and tactics will completely be changed as people won't have the confidence to even take a shot, because what if somebody just misses a shot one time to then hit a wall, they should then get punished?
It is clearly shown in my POV that I had no intent to Ghost Peak, If my bullet had connected I would not be writing this right now. Regarding the rule, there has to be a cause for the rule to be broken... so in this case what breaks the rule if no bullet connected how would that enable a right hand peak or a ghost peak if no damage was done therefore not breaking the rule. It genuinely makes no sense and not only myself but many others within the project are confused.
