Dear Grand RP Administration,
I am writing this appeal to sincerely apologize and request a reconsideration of the permanent ban placed on my account regarding a violation of General Rule 1.3 (Fraud/Scam).
Detailed Explanation of the Incident: I was working at the Electricity Station and gathered some cables over time.
Due to a financial need within the city, I decided to rent a shop at the Beach Market to sell these items. My intention was to list the cables for $550,000, which is a fair market price. However, due to a manual typing error and lack of focus at that moment, I accidentally added an extra zero, making the price $5,500,000. Why this was a mistake, not a scam: The Error: The difference between 550k and 5.5M is exactly one digit (a zero). In the rush of setting up the shop, I did not double-check the final listing price. No Intent to Defraud: I have been a dedicated player in this community, and I value my progress. It makes no sense to risk a permanent ban and an entire account for a single transaction that is clearly overpriced and unlikely to be completed by any experienced player.
Rule 1.3 Interpretation: I understand that General Rule 1.3 prohibits fraud. However, fraud requires "intent." In my case, this was a "mispricing" error. I had no intention of misleading anyone; it was a clerical mistake during the item listing process. Commitment to the Rules: I have thoroughly reread the Server Rules (including the sections on account responsibility and fraud).
I now realize that as per Rule 1.2, I am fully responsible for what happens on my account, including the prices I set. I take full responsibility for my lack of attention.
Proposed Resolution: I am ready to accept any alternative punishment, such as a temporary ban or a fine (money wipe) related to the profit of that specific transaction, just to have a second chance to play again and correct my behavior.
I have invested a lot of time in this server, and I don't want to lose my community over a typing mistake.
I kindly ask the senior administration to look into my logs and history. You will find that I am not a person who engages in scamming activities.
Thank you for your time and for everything you do to keep the server fair.
Best regards,
Vrah Ellkot
