As it is seen in the POV, he gets out of the car with a gun in his hand and tries to shoot us, so naturally we kill him because we are in fight, his friends come a little later after we kill him and we clash with his friends, I command him and his friends, his perspective is too short to understand the situation, loading a longer perspective of the person or his friends they have to, otherwise they are wrong.
