Hello Mazhor, I am asking you to review the rule 2.12 for state. The rule currently states: 2.12 The government should have at least two lawyers on staff who will be qualified and will be able, if necessary, to represent someones interests.
I believe this fundamentally flawed and allows for government to get away with not being up to city's standard. It is everyone's expectation that the government give them a lawyer when they ask(as is stated in their miranda rights that everyone who is charged with a crime is informed of), but this rule doesn't enforce that idea. It just sets a minimum amount of lawyers needed in the org, not any activity standards. According to this rule 2 inactive lawyers is enough to suffice even if in the city it is completely not sufficient.
In case a rule change is not likely, I would like to point out the wording *if necessary*. we have many necessary situations where a lawyer is needed but not available. I believe this means it could be interpreted as the government needs to represent everyone's interest when needed. ( Obviously 24/7 is not feasible but having lawyers during prime time in the city is in my opinion reasonable.) Which our current government under blu blu (previously mamablu blu) has shown to not be able to do.
Thank you for your time as I know you're busy
