There used to be a gang in Sandy Shores called the Sandy Smiley Gang, who ruled the streets of Sandy. They had control over Drug trafficking, all the business and owned 95 % of the real estate in the area. There were many opposition gangs who tried to take over Sandy but failed each time miserably. People from the city used to fear passing through Sandy Shores due to all the blood shed, gang wars and robberies. Years passed by, the Sandy Smiley Gang lost a lot of members in the wars that took place. There were only a few gang members left and they came up with a brilliant idea, this is when they decided to gather whatever they had left in the Sandy Shores and move over to the city to take control of the Gang operations, Business and Real estate in Los Santos.
Once the Gang arrived to the city, they immediately bought real estate in the center of the city and planned on taking over a major portion of the city. They took over a vast majority of narcotics business in the city, started manufacturing illegal guns and ammunition to take over the supply in black market. The Gang members started fresh, refined themselves to the city standards and decided to come up with a new name called SMILEY
