from the beginning there are few people shooting at me and my family . when my family starting shooting them for defense attack after some time when the situation is under control and we patch few of their people and try to talk them when we saw the situation is again out of control we told them to run for life thrice when they denied we just started shooting

If it was just gunfight without any RP, it was RDM and your punishment is correct​
