bismillah al rahman al rahim
Dear Bobby,
I have noticed certain issues that I believe should be addressed. For instance, when administrators make incorrect decisions, there should be some form of compensation provided to the player. The admin has punished the individual for something wrong, and we all know that the appeals process can take up to 24 hours or more. During this time, the person remains in jail until the punishment is removed through the appeal. However, when the admin reviews the appeal, they find that the player is no longer in jail, leaving no further action to be taken.
As far as I understand, the role of admins on the server is to assist people and prevent rule-breaking. However, from what I have observed, admins sometimes impose incorrect punishments. When asking the admin about the reason for the punishment, they simply advise making an appeal on the forums. Some individuals find this response from administrators frustrating. I know that appealing on the forums is the best course of action because the higher-ups can review the situation and potentially request evidence from the admin. As an example, today a person was punished for not wearing a scripted uniform during an event (Punishment). However, there is no out-of-character (OOC) rule that prohibits it, nor is there an in-character (IC) rule. When we asked the admin about the rule, they stated that it doesn't exist and claimed it's an IC rule. I have thoroughly gone through all the legislation and have not found such a rule. Additionally, in a previous instance where I was punished for the same reason, the punishment was simply removed without any further action. I don't believe that other admins are aware of this rule, as I witnessed Dray punishing someone for it today. Furthermore, as Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs), we need clarification on what attire is allowed and what is not. I have seen a picture of an FIB member wearing various colors (FIB Power-Rangers), and no one raised any concerns. However, when someone from our organization participates in a store robbery wearing unique clothing, we instruct them to return to headquarters and not wear personal attire, but the high-ranking members in the organization do so.
To summarize my points and suggestions: If an admin wrongfully punishes someone, there should be compensation for the time spent in jail or for any inventory wipes that occur. For instance, I was once punished by Tim Profit for RDM in the city, resulting in a complete inventory wipe without any items being returned to me.
I hope you consider what I've expressed, and please understand that my intention is not to disrespect anyone, including admins. I am suggesting these changes to improve the server, not to harm or disrespect anyone. I propose these ideas because I genuinely love playing on the server.
Sincerely,
Shabah Verlice
