2. Why do you want to be a leader of this specific organization? (List three reasons with an explanation)
I have been part of this project for more than 2 years now, and during this time, I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of people. I can confidently say that I have made many friends who can testify to the quality of my friendship. Over the past 8-9 months on Lifeinvader (LI), I have witnessed several leaders come and go, most of them have done an excellent job. Working with them has provided me with valuable experiences.
During this period, I have held various positions within LI, including two terms as Deputy Head of Ads, one term as Head of Creative, two terms as Deputy Director of both Creative and Ads, and one term as Chief Operating Officer (COO). I am grateful that I am well-known and loved by many people within LI.
If given the opportunity to become the new LI leader, I would initiate a comprehensive review of our processes. From my observation, previous leaders have placed an excessive emphasis on the Ads team. I believe that the Ads team should consist of individuals with strong English skills who are also willing to work night shifts, and I must acknowledge that the current Ads team seems to be performing very well. By ensuring that the Ads team operates 24/7, it will free up more of my time to focus on the Creative and Journalism teams, as well as the newly established Event Team.
My goal is to provide all residents of our city with the chance to join LI and have an enjoyable experience. I am more than willing to assist people in exploring different departments and fostering open communication and friendships among everyone involved.
3. Your advice for improving the RolePlay level in the organization.
First and foremost, the most important aspect for me is meetings. I intend to hold weekly meetings with all four of my departments. This will enable me to gain a clear understanding of what's happening in each department, listen to people's ideas, and assess who is putting in hard work and who may not be contributing as expected.
Secondly, I want to prioritize events. Given the challenging nature of the work at LI, it's essential for our team to have opportunities to relax and enjoy themselves. Events will serve this purpose, and I also want to encourage residents of the city to showcase their talents and have a chance to win some great prizes. We will have a talent show every week, and there will be one to two events each week as well.
Thirdly, I am emphasizing focus. By this, I mean that I want each department to have its own Head Coordinator (HC) and dedicated team members who will focus solely on their department's tasks. Double-hatting, where someone takes on multiple roles, will still be allowed but not for everyone. It will be granted based on merit and a proven ability to handle additional responsibilities. This is important because I expect tasks to be completed promptly, and when everyone is double-hatting, it can detract from their primary departmental duties.
