- Id still like to prove myself after being Undersheriff for 2 terms and a temporary Deputy of LSPD - as well as holding many other high ranks and responsibilities. I feel I have a great amount of experience in leading all aspects of an organisation. I also gathered some experience in FIB as a secret agent.
- LSPD is a new challenge and a positive change of scenery. I enjoy the city, being amongst it all. I was able to steady the ship as temporary Deputy recently and it was beneficial for me to understand how LSPD operates. In my short time there I had already began to make some positive changes.
- LSPD is a great project and I would like to see the organisation improve as a whole and I have a lot of ideas and experience to bring to the table, especially my man management and organisational skills. I believe I can add something to LSPD that will last even after my departure, should my application be successful.
- HRT - Coming up with ways in which to better involve HRTs communication skills and training with new recruits. HRT is the face of an organisation and should approach each new employee with a wealth of helpfulness and deliver training to a high standard. Creating a friendly and informative training and recruitment experience is key in making new employees feel like they are truly part of a Police Department.
- Traffic enforcement - There needs to be more involvement on the streets of Los Santos, more police presence. The TE department should be responsible for utilising speed traps in the hot zones, organising more checkpoints, continuing to improve towing and parking enforcement around the city and engaging more with the citizens of Los Santos. I feel there are a lot of citizens just looking for help and we need to engage with these situations more and create positive experiences and show the city and the people that we care.
- S.W.A.T - The importance on this department cannot be understated. Creating a more formidable and elite SWAT department that engages more in SWAT activities is a great way improve the RP. Creating more realistic training events and tactical experiences with the help of NG and FIB, encouraging this department to be first response units at all volatile situations, taking control of volatile situations more and creating tactical advantages. Also utilising SWAT in things like PR events as security detail to ensure the event is as safe as can be for the citizens. This department should understand how to also operate and plan ghetto patrols discreetly and tactically to improve the chances of successful operations. This isn't just a department for those extra weapons.
- IA - IA needs to remain consistent with all decisions - and this is something I instilled even in my short tenure as Deputy and was something I was committed to at SAHP. Creating internal policy on all decisions made within the IA department and encouraging IA to not only be on the look out for corruption, but also be there to help officers that are making small errors - thus creating an environment that engages IA with all officers and all officers better understand how to behave and maintain professionalism.
- UB - The undercover Bureau must work closely and intelligently with FIB to ensure FIB is getting the evidence they require, there needs to be more involvement and training exercises planned with FIB to ensure the UB is utilised in the best possible way.
- PR - Another way to engage with citizens is by using the PR department to create a citizens outreach program to encourage citizens in engaging with LSPD in a positive manner. We should encourage citizens to come forward with any concerns they may have during our PR events and use it as a tool to better our relationship with citizens - its not just a stunt that we see as a requirement for the org.
- Commendation and well-being initiative - Creating a more unified and togetherness atmosphere within LSPD to ensure that each and every officer is valued and doesn't slip under the radar. I would plan on creating a small team within a department to ensure that all promotions and commendations are not overlooked and each and every deserving officer is rewarded and commended for their hard work. This will add to promotion ceremony experiences and overall officer well-being. There isn't a day that goes by where I haven't seen an officer upset with a situation, Id like to create an environment where an officer feels valued and has a place to go and person to talk to. By utilising Human Resources and creating an office space for officers to pass on any concerns would be another aspect of the well-being initiative.
Thankyou for considering my application,
Billy Booth
