While growing up Derek was a greedy poor young boy who grew up with his gangster dad (Wolf Federal) in South Africa and he always was involved with gang violence and criminal structures, robbing people and stealing form shops and people selling drugs. One day MR Wakachangi (Derek) arrived to Los Santos, Vinewood to get away from terrible and miserable life he had, starting with 0 money somewhat begged his way upto applying for jobs, including EMS & NG.

Derek Wakachangi slowly gained enough confidence to do better and enjoy life, He motivity started ranking up in the National Guard rank after rank, he become a High Command detaining over 100 criminals, this brought back memories of his fathers criminal life in South Africa but it didn't stop him to carry on with his dream to become NG high command.
