Orginating as part of The ‘Ndrangheta crime family in Calabria, Italy, this small group had moved to Monaco, France and had been running the Monte Carlo casino since the late 90's. The new generation of mobsters lead by Steph Silverburn decided that Los Santos would be the next target for the family to expand and make themselves known to the western world.
As the family name is taken from the Casino itself the family are well versed in illegal gambling, extortion and money-laundering and are planning on using the obtained set of skills to overthrow the current Family heirachy in Los Santos and make a mark on the city as a name that demands Loyalty, Respect and Power.
Feared and well-known back in Europe, Steph's plan is to overthrow the criminal underworld, using wit and cunning as tactics instead of brute strength and numbers to dominate in this new alien land that seems to be run on chaos. The Monte Carlo Mafia (MCM) with their itailian hertiage aim to bring this city to the glory that it should be, working to take down the dangerous families they encounter along the way to power.
Brought up by gangsters, Steph has grown to know what using fear against the competition can accomplish and that a name can be feared more than actions. Being taken from her family in Scotland in the late 80's by the 'Ndrangheta during a family war in Glasgow, she has grown up alongside mobsters and constent bloodshed and has learned quickly how to rise in the ranks and suggested this massive oppertunity to run the city of Los Santos just like the Itialian mob's ran New York in the 60's.
