Life Story: Born up a holler in the backwoods of the Appalachia, early life moved slow for Ruben. He was lucky, in some respects, born to a middle class family he witnessed his parents strong work ethic provide all they needed. He looked up to his father, witnessing him struggle from a low paid laborer to a job site supervisor, he saw this as proof that hard work pays off. after completing high school he attended university for a short period of time studying psychology, but quickly he realized this was not the path he was destined for. He went off foraging his own path, noting that his area is poverty stricken he made the choice to move to the big city in search of something more in life. He quickly became entangled with a bad crowd and fell into a life of crime. Along the way he met an officer that tried to pull him back to the right side of the law, he left the criminal world behind but its pull was too strong, he plunged himself back into gangs and quickly worked his way up to the highest ranks, eventually running the gang, but this eventually started weighing on his mind.
Career Story: Early on Ruben started like many others when moving to a new city, working odd jobs to make ends meet. After trying the normal jobs such as taxi driver, electrician, and farmer he realized these jobs were not enough to provide the life he desired. He aspired to be a lawyer but the requirements were too heavy for him at the time, so instead a friend turned him to a life of crime. At first it was odd robberies to help make ends meet but he soon grew to love crime, he started committing murders and helping gangs with robberies solely for the thrill of it. One day out of the blue a former friend from a gang he previously represented asked him to join LSPD, quickly earning a high command position he felt rewarded, but he knew the money crime brought could provide a better life. He left to climb the ranks of gangs eventually working his way to leader of a notorious street gang, it was only then he realized the pain and turmoil his actions caused. He vowed to change this, he changed his identity and spoke to a recruiter for FIB. Working his way up the ranks he realized that he had the potential to make extra money on the side and still dabble in his criminal ways which was when he chose to help both sides. He still wants to right his wrongs but he still wants to earn his fair share in the process.
Outcomes:
1- Ruben can receive money and/or weapons and ammo as a bribe. (up to 100k cash)
2- In order to keep himself safe Ruben can find and break body worn cameras. (using /try with maximum 2 attempts per situation)
3- Ruben can lie in order to refuse a lawyer or to provide ID.
4- In order to help his friends that still commit crime Ruben can offer information in exchange for money or favors.
5- Ruben can buy, sell, or use any weapons for his personal protection. (In exception of Org weapons)
