Dexter Moser , born in miami live with his brother brian and his mom laura moser , his mom was a CI for miami metro , one day she tragically died while collecting evidence against cartel , she was killed in front of dexter in a shipping yard where the deal went through , dexter was only 2 years old so he was born in blood. After his moms death the officer who hired her harry morgan adopted dexter , later harry found out that dexter had no empathy , and urges to hurt and harm people , so later on when dexter became older he taught him a "code" to channel his urges , dexter was taught to channel his urges onto people that deserve to die , from this moment onwards dexter starting vetting criminals that got away within the system before he tries to kill them to make sure they are guilty. On dexter's first kill , he called his foster father Harry to come see his work he thought he would be proud of him considering he channeled his urges and caught a serial killer that has managed to stay under the radar for years , but when Harry comes in the kill room he throws up and tells Dexter to leave , after all Harry tells Dexter he didnt teach him the "code" because he wanted him to turn out this way but to channel the killing urges in a good way .

Dexter's career was more like a cover life , to create a routine , so he can have a permanent unseeable mask that will help him be a high ranked blood spatter analyst that does crazy work whilst its only his cover for his night life , where the dark passenger steps in and searches for criminals using his resources in the department so he can kidnap them by giving them a ketamine syringe to make them unconscious , and then take them to the kill room , the kill room is pitch perfect filled with plastic sheets , so that evidence can be removed easily and without a trace , and a cosy room to put pictures of the victims of his victim so he can see what he did on his deathbed before hes confronted and killed by Dexter. Even though law enforcement was 80% his cover life , he liked it , and he was incredibly good at it , he helped the LSPD catch wanted criminals with outstanding warrants that couldnt be caught by anyone before , he was catching over 5 daily!! This not only made him proud of himself for his cover life work , but it also made people in LSPD and the government and all legal orgs not look at him twice , because all they know and see is , a dedicated analyst that is catching uncatchable criminals and bringing them to justice , so he became a very good friends with government officials and the high ranks of LSPD , so no one would question him twice.
