Life Story
Abhi was a born and raised as a New India. Abhi didn't feel like he was going anywhere in life. As a young adult, going through High School was a breeze for him, despite a global pandemic affecting virtually everyone around him, his academics and ability to make friends never faltered. He was simply "a natural" as his classmates and close friends would call him. But he didn't want to just be good at school, he didn't want to be perfect at everything. Abhi wanted something that could challenge him more, since he was athletic, had good social relations and connections, he just couldn't think of what could possibly challenge him. He then thought to himself, his family had an extensive history of working in the Military and Law Enforcement Field. Abhi saw this as an opportunity to follow in his family's footsteps and enter a field he has never once thought of doing before. He was scared by the thought, wondering to himself if the possibility of death was better than getting a good paying job after college. He didn't know if it was worth it. But Abhi felt a sense of longing and service within himself, understanding that not only is this what he wanted, but the fear only meant he is challenging himself.
Career Story
Abhi joins the National Guard with the help of his friend, his friend is a high-ranking officer in National Guard. His friend gets him a good position and his friend gives him some money to move on but he gets involved in drugs with this money. Being involved in drugs, he slowly fell into a lot of debt. He doesn't understand how to repay so much debt. Now Abhi finds himself in a precarious situation. One day while on duty, Abhi was arresting a notorious robber in many districts. The robber senses Abhi desperation, so the robber offers Abhi some money in exchange for rank.
One day while on duty, Abhi was arresting a notorious robber in many districts. The robber sensed Abhi desperation and offered him a way out. “ Abhi,” the robber said, “I know you’re in a tight spot. I can help you clear your debts, but you’ll have to do something for me.”
Abhi hesitated. He had always been a man of principles, but desperation gnawed at him. “What do you want?” he asked cautiously.
The robber leaned in, his eyes gleaming. “There’s a shipment coming in—a shipment of illegal weapons. I need you to look the other way. Let it pass without interference.”
Abhi mind raced. He thought of his family, the poverty they endured, and the memory of their suffering. Could he compromise his integrity for their sake? The fire of revenge still burned within him, but now it was tempered by practicality.
He weighed the options. If he helped the robber, he could pay off his debts and maybe even provide for his family. But it meant betraying everything he stood for—the honor of the uniform, the oath he took as a soldier.
As the shipment date approached, Abhi grappled with his decision. He visited his family’s graves, seeking guidance. Their silent presence reminded him of their sacrifices, their struggle against injustice. He vowed to fight for justice, even if it meant bending the rules.
On the fateful night, Abhi intercepted the shipment. He didn’t let it pass, but he didn’t arrest the robber either. Instead, he confiscated the weapons and left a cryptic message: “Justice served, debts remain.”
The robber was furious, but Abhi had made his choice. He used the confiscated weapons to expose corrupt officials within the National Guard. The scandal rocked the organization, leading to arrests and reforms. Abhi actions earned him enemies and admirers alike.
His friend, the high-ranking officer, confronted him. “You’ve crossed a line, Abhi,” he said. “But maybe it’s the line we all need to cross sometimes.”
Abhi path was no longer clear-cut. He walked the tightrope between duty and desperation, honor and compromise. And in the shadows, the memory of his family urged him forward—a beacon of justice in a corrupt world.
