Austin Pluxury grew up in a challenging neighborhood in Liberty City. His father, David Carter, was a respected officer with the Liberty City Police Department (LCPD) who was tragically killed in the line of duty during a robbery. This event deeply affected Austin, instilling in him a strong desire to pursue a career in law enforcement. His mother, Mary Carter, worked tirelessly as a nurse to support the family, often working multiple jobs. Her dedication and nurturing nature, despite the hardships, greatly influenced Austin's character and values.
After his father's death, Austin became determined to fight crime and make his father proud. He excelled in his studies and physical training, eventually earning a scholarship to Liberty City University, where he majored in Criminal Justice. During his time in college, Austin interned with the Liberty City Police Department, where he gained valuable experience and made crucial connections. His dedication and skill quickly caught the attention of law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB).
Austin's career took off when he joined the FIB, where he became known for his exceptional undercover work. His success in dismantling a major crime syndicate in Liberty City led to his transfer to San Andreas, where he continued to work on high-risk operations. However, being so close to high-level criminals exposed him to the flaws and corruption within the legal system, leading him down a path of moral ambiguity.
Now, as the Head of Internal Affairs in the San Andreas Highway Patrol (SAHP), Austin uses his position to navigate the complexities of law enforcement, sometimes bending the rules to achieve his own sense of justice.
