Dear Chief Admin,
Please take time to read this since this contains a positive concern and a valuable feedback from a veteran player from your server.
Today morning, I got a ban for GR 5.2 for 2 days for a very silly reason. With due respect, I want you to hear my side which was not heard in-game in conversation with admin Paradox Maddy. I expect your decision to be unbiased and I will respect to it.
Here's the background story -
I rented shop in beach market and placed 2 set of Progen containers (50 pcs each). First set was priced at $1.111.111 while the other was $1,199.999 with a difference of $88.888.
So, Admin Paradox Maddy confronted me and accused me for scamming people with change in prices, So, I went to the shop to check if I mistakenly put an extra digit in the price amount, for e.g $11.111.111 (at first I assumed this). However, while checking I found the price was placed fairly (with 3% beach market shop tax).
So to convey my point why I put this price difference, I wanted to explain to them the theory of "Price Difference Strategy - Well known Market strategy" - where prices of same product are placed in two or more difference set, to allow consumers to buy the product in "First come First serve basis". The other reason is to mark the availability/rarity of the product. This is something which we encounter in IRL as well. Here's some detailed explanation (Price Differentiation and Examples of Pricing Structures.)
Now, while I wanted to put my point, another admin jumped in directly with the conclusion that if you place two price set for same item, you are scamming people. However, Scamming by definition means - to trick someone into giving you money or giving you some advantage, in a dishonest and often illegal way:
In my case, I didn't trick people, I placed the price, they can see it clearly. If they want to buy in that price, then buy else they can contact the seller and negotiate or at least move on.
Lastly when I checked with an admin (when Slim Capella talked about this in one of his video) about scamming prices in beach market i.e. people put an extra digit in prices to scam other people intentionally, admin mentioned this statement "It doesnt fall under scamming, since they can see the price, they also get a pop-up showing the price to double check the price when they click on buy".
For this, I have a humble request to admins to make an internal thread for themselves for such topics which they can refer and share information to players, so we players don't hear different answers from different admins, thus creating a confusion.
Lastly, in my second video, I literally was complying with what admin Paradox Maddy said, I was in between removing the containers but I got a ban beforehand. So, I request the Chief admin to uplift my ban and update General rules regarding scamming and with some good examples so that all players and admins would be on same page.
