Life Story:
Devan Sheikh had his childhood in Los Santos, a city known for its stark differences in terms of social class. Devan grew up in a middle-class family where he had to learn the ropes of life in a city where competition was cut throat and trust was something that took time to build.
From a young age, Devan had a strong sense of purpose and a willingness to contribute towards significant change. He learnt the importance of being honest and pushing through unfavorable conditions from his parents, which helped him rise in a city where everyone else was falling deeper into dishonesty.
The intense nature of Los Santos, however, shook him to the core. His once supportive environment harshly changed, and since he was very young, he was subjected to betrayal by people he trusted the most. This created a self-protective barrier that is deep seated in his psyche, which affects his interpersonal relations.
Career Story:
Devan’s initial professional phase as a trooper with the San Andreas Highway Patrol (SAHP) was marked with a lot of focus and growth. His efficiency, decisiveness, and superior leadership raised eyebrows amongst his colleagues. Eventually, his work and foresight began to impress the higher-ups as well.
For his strong work ethics, Devan was subsequently provided an opportunity to join the Department of Treasury, where he first served in an administrative capacity. With his novel and results-oriented approach, he soon found himself in great positions of influence and was ultimately appointed to the position of Minister of State (MOS) of Treasury. Devan worked to spearhead the state’s finances, designed reforms, and handled the difficult task of reducing financial crime.
In retrospect, however, he realized that his years at the Department of Treasury opened his eyes to the great level of corruption and subversion that was deeply rooted in the system. He came to the conclusion that a shift away from orthodox tactics would be needed to deal with the issues at hand. This epiphany is what made him submit his resignation from the MOS position, as he wanted to pursue a completely new and different route.
Devan had a short break from governmental service, during which he dabbled into some unconventional alliances. This chapter was indeed controversial, yet it equipped him with the necessary knowledge of the workings and dynamics of the Los Santos underworld.
Now adopting a morally flexible stance, Devan focuses on undermining the law using his skill set in finance and strategy. His orientation is unchanged in the sense that he still seeks to protect his loved ones while trying to destroy the rotten structure he previously sought to protect.
Outcomes:
1. Devan Sheikh can make criminals drop their weapons and illegal items and keep them for himself or sell (while off duty) them in the black market. (Not GOV items)
2. Devan Sheikh can put Illegal items in 10-15's or citizens pockets / backpacks to get them arrested (With proper RP).
3. Devan Sheikh can carry a hidden, waterproof ballistic camera in his Sun Glasses 24/7 & doesn’t need to refresh it.
4. Devan Sheikh doesn't have to follow 10-15 processing procedures like showing ID or reading Miranda Rights.
5. Devan Sheikh can pick up and use illegal weapons on duty.
